Vehicle Impoundment Service - Who can call and when to call for vehicle removal
Who can request a private property tow?
A property owner, designated agent, property manager, or a tenant (if legally authorized by the owner or manager) can request impoundment service as long as the vehicle is physically inside of their property.
When to request a private property tow?
When an unauthorized vehicle is making use of your private property parking's space(s) or when it's committing a parking violation per the private property's rules such as using reserved parking spaces, using more than one parking space at a time, obstructing key areas such as driveways or hydrants, among others.
This does not apply when a vehicle is on a public road and obstructing your private property's entrance or exit. For that you'd need to call your local police department since they're the only ones who can lawfully remove a vehicle from a public space.
If you are trying to find a towed vehicle, call the local police. For a blocked driveway at a private home, call the police or your property manager.
